THE JOB TESTS
Original tasks and worked answers by Sasflynet Kft.
Use a fresh copy of the included workbook for each task, unless a task explicitly continues the previous one. Reference tasks use the References sheet, with the rate in B1, prices in A4:A6 and working columns B:C. Sales has headers in A1:C1 and six records in rows 2:7. Formula examples use English function names and comma separators; your Excel locale may use different names or separators.
References / Task 01
On References, enter =A4*$B$1 in B4 and copy down to B6.
B4:B6 return 10, 16, 24. A4 changes to A5/A6. $B$1 stays fixed.
Change B1 to 0.1: the results should become 5, 8, 12. Restore 0.2.
Functions / Task 11
On a fresh copy of Sales, total B2:B7.
=SUM(B2:B7) returns 700.
Change 80 to 100: the total becomes 720. Restore 80.
Data / Task 25
Create a PivotTable from fresh Sales data. Put Region in Rows and Revenue in Values as Sum.
North 280, South 220, West 200. Grand total 700.
If Excel chooses Count, check that Revenue is numeric and change the summary to Sum.
Days 1-2: references. Days 3-4: functions. Days 5-6: data tasks. Day 7: repeat three tasks without looking at the answers. Write what you checked and what still needs practice.
These exercises support independent practice. They are not a Microsoft certification or a promise of hiring success.
Optional official guidance: Cell references, Functions, PivotTable guide and video.
